When listings are imported into SentriKey they can have a series of defaults applied and then after have the individual listing modified to match the needs of the property or seller.
First, when a listing is imported from Matrix it will take the defaults set in the Showing Settings. To get to the Showing Settings go to Manage My Account or click on the dropdown by your profile image and click My Settings:

On the right you will find the Listing Agent Preferences:
Again, these are the defaults that will be applied to new listings when they import from Matrix, please consider the following:
- Allow agents to request appointments online – This is the toggle to allow or not allow agents to schedule appointments on new listings.
- Set this to Yes if you want all new listings to allow SentriKey showings.
- Set this to No if you want new listings to not allow showings and then manually choose the options for each listing individually
- Default appointment mode offers two options:
- Appointment Required – They put in requests that have to be approved first
- Go and Show – Any request is automatically approved (barring an overlapping appointment, see below)
- Maximum appointment length for showing – Sets the maximum appointment length that can be requested for a showing
- Allow overlapping appointments – This is the toggle to dictate whether multiple showings can occur at once
- Set this to Yes if you want all new listings to allow overlapping appointments, not recommended, but does allow other agents (and their clients) to gauge interest in the house
- Set this to No if you do not want multiple agents and/or clients on the property at the same time, recommended.
Once you’ve set your defaults you can still change it on a listing by listing basis if a property requires unique accommodations.
Second, changing settings on individual listings can be done under the My Listings tab at the top:
To change settings on a particular listing simply click on the MLS number or the address:
This will bring you to the Appt. Settings screen where you can modify the same settings discussed above, including a few options specific to each listing.
- Verify that the defaults on the listing, like allowing overlapping appointments and the appointment mode, are correct for this particular property
- Temporarily Hold All Showing Requests – Turn this on to prevent appointments for the listing, temporarily or, if you leave that toggle on, permanently
- Add Auto Confirm Rule – Be sure to toggle the Use Auto Confirm Showing Acceptance button
- Adding an Auto Confirm Rule will set up a timeframe that will automatically confirm appointments set up during that timeframe
- These can be an All Day Rule or for set 15 minute increments on the Timed Rule
- These can be a One-time Rule or a Repeating Rule for set days
- Add Restriction – Again be sure to toggle the Appointment Restrictions button
- Adding a Restriction will block out a timeframe that will prevent appointments from being set up during that timeframe
- These can be an All Day Rule or for set 15 minute increments on the Timed Rule
- These can be a One-time Rule or a Repeating Rule for set days
- Advanced Notice Required for Showing – This will give you as the listing agent some lead time on when appointments can be scheduled so that you can accompany the showing if needed
- This can be set up with no lead time or all the way up to 24 hours
